The ZO® 3 Step Peel is an innovative, in-office chemical peel developed by world renowned dermatologist, Dr Zein Obaji. This treatment provides epidermal renewal and dermal stimulation to improve acne, melasma, sun damage, fine lines, texture roughness, large pores, and dullness.
How does the 3 Step Peel work?
As the name indicates, this peel consists of three steps:
1. Peel Application: A method of exfoliating using salicyclic acid, TCA, and lactic acid.
2. Stimulate using Retinol Créme Complex (contains 6% retinol). This reduces wrinkles, firms and smooths skin, restores hydration, and includes antioxidant for cellular renewal.
3. Hydration + Calming using Revitatrol® (contains 1% colloidal oatmeal). This stimulates hyaluronic acid production and promotes healing of the skin to speed recovery.
Pre-conditioning Stage
Patient must pre-condition the skin 4-6 weeks before the peel using retinoic acid or a 0.5% or higher retinol product.
Anticipated Reactions
Redness, dryness, itching, and stinging are all normal anticipated reactions. Skin will begin to exfoliate in 2-3 days after treatment and last up to five days.
Contraindications
You should not receive a chemical peel if you are pregnant or nursing, sunburned, or allergic to salicylates.
